Community Guidelines
Why these guidelines exist
Football Kit Club is a community of people who share a passion for football kits: they share ideas, learn from one another and compete together every week. Its value rests on the craft of its members and the respect they show each other.
The principles below are here so that we can protect this space together. They apply to all content and interactions on the platform, including posts, comments, messages, rooms, profiles, competition entries and concept proposals, and they form an integral part of the Terms of Use.
We lead with respect
Good critique makes a design better. We ask that you share your views about the design, with your reasoning, and in a constructive tone. Comments aimed at the person harm the community, however valid the point they started from.
Supporters of many different clubs share this community. Club rivalry is a wonderful part of football, but it is never a reason to demean, provoke or single out another member.
We stand by original work
We expect you to publish only work that is your own or that you have the right to share. Using another designer's work without permission, or presenting it as your own, goes against the most basic value of this community.
Club crests and brand logos may be used in concept designs. No design, however, should be presented as an official, licensed or club-endorsed product. If a piece inspired you, crediting its source is the finest respect you can show its designer.
Human craft in competitions
Our competitions exist to showcase work made by designers' own hands. For that reason we do not accept entries generated with generative AI or containing AI-generated imagery.
When you submit an entry, you declare that the work is your own and human-made. Entries found to contradict this declaration are removed from the competition, and results and reputation points are recalculated accordingly. Outside competitions, too, we ask that you do not present an AI-generated image as human-made.
Fair competition
Every result should reflect the community's genuine preference. That is why each member uses a single account; additional accounts may not be created to vote, submit entries or influence the rankings.
Buying votes, trading votes for favours, coordinated voting with other accounts and automated voting are prohibited. Any attempt to manipulate the competition process results in disqualification of the entries involved and action against the account.
Content and conduct we do not allow
There is no place in our community for hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics.
Harassment, threats and bullying; sharing another person's personal information without their consent; obscene or violent content, or content that promotes illegal activity; and impersonating another person, club, brand or the Football Kit Club team are strictly unacceptable.
Unsolicited advertising, repetitive or off-topic posts, bulk messaging and the use of bots spoil the experience for everyone and are therefore prohibited. You are responsible for the security of your account, and you should not share, transfer or sell it.
When the guidelines are broken
The Football Kit Club team reserves the right to remove content that breaks these guidelines, hide images and disqualify competition entries. Depending on the nature and recurrence of a violation, an account may be restricted, meaning its ability to post is temporarily removed, or suspended. Serious or repeated violations lead to indefinite suspension.
We work to make every decision carefully and as consistently as possible, but we may act without prior warning in cases of serious violations. Where a legal obligation arises, relevant content and records may be shared with the competent authorities.
If you believe a decision was made in error, you are welcome to write to contact@footballkitclub.com with your reasons. We review every appeal carefully.
Let us know
If you come across content or behaviour that breaks these guidelines, please use the “Report” option in the app. Every report is reviewed by our team, and the identity of the person reporting is never shared with the reported member.
Copyright or trademark complaints can be sent to contact@footballkitclub.com. To help us resolve them quickly, please include the work you own, a link to the content you believe infringes it, your contact details and a statement that the complaint is made in good faith.
Changes
As our community grows, we will keep refining these guidelines. The current version is always available on this page, with its effective date shown at the top.
Thank you for helping make Football Kit Club a better place, together.
