Frequently asked questions

The community

What is Football Kit Club?

A community built around kit culture. New releases get discussed, old seasons get remembered, and members share their own collections.

Alongside that, weekly design challenges run for anyone who wants to draw their own kit.

Is membership paid?

No. Creating an account, reading the feed, joining rooms, entering challenges and voting are all free.

Who can take part?

Anyone who loves football shirts. No design background and no professional tool required.

You can draw on a computer, or draw on paper and upload a photo of it. The measure is not the tool but the idea.

Challenges

How do I enter a challenge?

Create an account, verify your email, then pick the week that is open for entry on the Challenges page. Read the concept description, upload your design and add a short note.

Uploads are accepted until the entry window closes. Entry is one-shot; once uploaded it cannot be changed.

How often does a challenge open?

A new concept opens every week, with two weeks overlapping: designs are collected for one week, and voted on the next.

So there is always an open concept to draw and a gallery waiting to be judged. Timings appear as countdowns on each challenge page.

How does voting work?

When entry closes, voting begins. A voter ranks their three favourite designs: 5 points to the first choice, 3 to the second, 1 to the third.

Voting for your own entry is not allowed, and a vote cannot be changed once recorded. Ranked preference replaces one-tap likes because it forces a genuine choice.

Who can vote?

Because votes decide the result, voting is open to accounts that have settled into the site. All three requirements apply: a verified email address, a profile photo, and at least 1 post.

Anything still missing is listed one by one in the voting area of the competition page. These requirements only affect voting; the rest of the site works as usual.

Can I use AI in a challenge?

At the idea stage, yes: you can use AI tools to look for inspiration and references, or to try out concept, colour and pattern ideas.

But the design you submit must come from your own hands: designs generated entirely with AI are not accepted. And AI can't be used in the presentation at all; putting your kit on a footballer with AI, or using any AI-generated presentation image, is not allowed. The point is to be able to tell human skill apart.

Uploaded images are checked automatically: an image whose metadata says it was generated or edited with AI is not accepted. Entries found in breach are removed; repeats bring account restrictions.

Is there prize money?

No. There is no cash prize, no merchandise and no sponsor gift. What is won is reputation points, titles and standing.

That is a deliberate choice: prize money opens voting up to things other than the design itself.

Who owns the rights to a design I submit?

The design stays yours. Football Kit Club only asks for the right to display it in the challenge gallery, the archive and its own promotional surfaces.

See the Terms of Use and Community Guidelines pages for details.

Account and community

Is email verification required?

The site can be used as soon as you sign up; verification is not demanded at registration. But creating content — posting, entering a challenge, voting — requires a verified email address.

The verification email is only sent when you ask for it; you can request it from the reminder banner on the site.

What are rooms for?

Rooms are discussion spaces split by topic — league rooms, general chat and support. Unlike the feed, a room keeps a subject from scattering.

The list of rooms is on the Rooms page.

I saw content that breaks the rules — what should I do?

Posts, entries and profiles all carry a report option. Reports go to the moderation team and are reviewed one by one.

AI-generated entries, stolen designs and harassment are handled fastest.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. An account can be closed from the settings page. For how personal data is processed and how long it is kept, see the Privacy Policy and the KVKK disclosure.

How can I get in touch?

Suggestions and requests about the site go through the Feedback page; every one of them is read.

You can also reach us at @footballkitclub on X and @football.kitclub on Instagram.

Didn’t find your answer?

App requests and bug reports go through the Feedback page; every entry there is read.
