How 5/3/1 voting works

Casting a vote

During the voting stage the three favourite designs in the gallery are ranked. First choice earns 5 points, second 3, third 1.

Voting for your own entry is not allowed. Once recorded, a vote cannot be changed — the decision stands as made.

Why ranked preference?

One-tap likes are a weak signal, because they let everyone approve of everything. Ranking forces a choice to be made.

The result reads better too: even when two designs collect the same number of first choices, the spread across second and third choices decides the order. A broadly liked design can pass the favourite of a small but committed group.

What the points do

Points are written into the weekly standings and the long-term reputation ledger. Titles unlock from that ledger.

There is no cash prize and no sponsor gift. Active voting can be found on the Challenges page.
